| 646-580-3624: These are "Indian" con artists who pose as collection attorneys and make many ridiculous threats to throw you in jail and destroy your credit and reputation if you do not immediately pay them money owed on a loan you never took out. They use "voice over ip" technology which allows them to purchase a phone number having any area code. Therefore, they are more than likely calling from overseas but it appears that they are calling from Manhattan. Just tell them that you are recording/tracing the call for authorities investigating them in their area and they will hang up and never call you again. They are even dumber than their victims for believing this! |

646-580-3624: I have had to replay my message 5 times already...All I could really make out is his name is Matthew something and he wishes me luck as the world will unfold on me if i do not give him a call back with my social... Starting to get tired of these damn phone calls I have no idea who they are and they give no information. I asked them to mail me a document so i could verify what they are talking about and they hung up.....?? So I am going to by a whistle or air horn and next time they call...lets just say I am fed up with this crap. |

646-580-3624: This is just another scam originating out of India. I fell for it once. Reported it to the police, FBI, Attorney General of my state and the FTC. Each of them told me these calls were scams either to shake the person down for money or trick them out of their personal information. Do not answer the phone if you do not recognize the number. Report them to the agencies listed above. These people are pond scum and it's not worth it to engage them. My suggestion would be, if you decide to answer the phone, blow an air horn in their ear!!! |
